The goal from the project is to conduct an analytical study of the current state and possibilities of civil society in Uzbekistan for the development of strategic and technical programs of the Swiss Foundation “Peace Nexus” to support civil society organizations and enhance the ability of individual organizations to contribute to social cohesion and peacebuilding.

Stages of research implementation:

• March 3-4, 2021, an educational training was organized for the regional departments of the Nationwide movement “Yuksalish” and other participants of the research.
• March 16-19, 2021, a research was conducted in the focus groups in 14 regions of Uzbekistan by trained representatives of the Nationwide movement “Yuksalish”. In total 206 civil society institutions were covered.
• March 16-19, 2021, an in-depth interview on outcomes of focus-groups was conducted amongst 106 NGOs.

During the realisation period:

• Discussion of the data and handing to the main consultant for the preparation of the comprehensive review;
• On the basis of results of the review, a final meeting will be held with participation of the IGO representatives from all regions in order to present and verify the results.
