The Yuksalish Movement conducted a monitoring of the establishment of Public Councils within government agencies in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 124, On Measures for the Further Improvement of the System of State Support for Civil Society Institutions, dated August 26, 2024.

During the monitoring process, a number of issues were identified.

In particular:

– In some government institutions, the chairs of Public Councils were selected from among the officials of the respective agencies, rather than representatives of civil society;

– The process of reorganizing Public Councils in several government institutions had not been completed.

As a result of the reorganization and submission of updated information, Public Councils in 39 government agencies now meet the established requirements.
