SUGGESTED MEASURES FOR CURBING THE SPREAD OF COVID-10 PANDEMIC IN UZBEKISTAN
The Government of Uzbekistan has done much to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic so far. However, for the proper protection of citizens, we still have a lot to do. The Chairman of the Nationwide movement "Yuksalish" Akmal Burkhanov proposed to strengthen the quarantine in following manner:
- Announcing an Emergency situation regime in Tashkent and Tashkent region for the first period
- partial mobilization of the state army, which will be ready to conduct proper control of compliance with quarantine requirements
- restriction of railway, airway, bus and passenger transport between cities and regions throughout the country
- Creation of mobile points and laboratories in the regions, especially in remote areas of the country, providing them with portable express tests for coronavirus
- stimulation measures for the private sector to import and conduct express tests on Covid-19
- mandatory and disinfection (for free) of premises in all institutions, public places (transport, places of leisure, shopping centers, markets, gas stations, entrances of multi-story buildings)
- reorientation of enterprises to the production of necessary products, personal protective equipment (masks, respirators, etc.), antiseptic agents, drugs and equipment (mechanical ventilation equipment);
- measures for rapid enhancing of the delivery services in the regions (ordering the necessary medicine and medical facilities, products, foods, other essential goods).
